sweet summertime!

I don’t know about y’all but here in my town, summer is HERE! School is out and the temps are getting hotter and hotter each day. I have always loved the change of seasons. I love to look forward to everything a new season brings. I can’t wait for pool days, beach days, and summer evenings outside playing. Don’t you just remember those days as a kid when the evenings were warm and the sun was out longer and you would just run around and play until dark? The best days! I hope my kids can get a little glimpse of that this summer, even though they are still little.

One of my friends asked me what we had on our summer bucket list. I had jotted down a list in the back of a notebook but hadn’t thought about sharing it or making up a printable until she asked me about it. So I hope this list is helpful for some of y’all!

Now I love a good bucket list (hence the reason for this post) but I’m learning that while my kids are so little, it’s important to keep things nice and simple. I could make a bucket list with elaborate outings and really fun trips for the summer and then be stressed about them while they’re happening or disappointed when they don’t happen. OR I could make a nice simple bucket list with easy but fun activities for toddlers and preschoolers. Which is exactly what I did and I am so excited about it. Everything on this list is free or cheap and is easy to do with young kiddos. AND bonus, it’s sized for an 8.5×11 piece of paper so print that bad boy out, tape it to the fridge, and get adventuring!

Stephen, Amelia and I want to do all of these! This is a great list and there were things I would not have thought of that will be so fun like making fruit pizza and washing the cars. (Washing the cars is a must. You should see the dirt caked on the inside of Stephens jeep from off roading adventures, I like seeing it as a fun summer activity instead of a nagging to do list item.)

Oh, I’m so glad! And haha, that’s awesome you have been doing fun off roading adventures though! 🙂
