75 rainy day activities!

Well, you thought I was joking but I really did make a list of 75 things to do with your kids at home on a rainy day! Although my husband joked that I should have put “make a list of 75 things to do with your kids on a rainy day while your kids watch a movie” on my list because that is totally what I did.  Haha!

But all kidding aside, I’m excited about this list! I think I will also use it as a bucket list of sorts for our hot, hot, HOT summer (summer here lasts until November!) afternoons when it is too hot to be outside and too sunny to be at the pool yet. I think it will work great!

My kiddos and I did some of the things on this list today. The highlights for my kids were: 1) playing in puddles 2) baking cookies and 3) making paper dolls. My sister and I used to make paper dolls with our grandma and so making them with my daughter brought back such fond and happy memories. And it kept my daughter busy for a long, long time. Way longer than I thought it would. She really enjoyed telling me details to draw and coloring the dolls. I then cut them out for her and we made some accessories and different outfits she could put on them and then she had so much fun playing with them and creating a dialogue and story. I especially love this one because you also do this anywhere you go!

I had fun making this list and I hope that you and your kiddos find some fun activities on it that work for y’all!  I know I definitely needed to do some of these activities yesterday with my little people!

This is an awesome list! I used to spend many long hours cutting people out of catalogs & making up stories with them! Sometimes I would add flannel to the back of them & play on a flannel board 🙂
